A Land Registry Compliant Lease Plan is a legal requirement for all new property leases of 7 years or more. This new ruling was part of the Land Registration Act 2002 which became law in 2003.


In addition to this, a compliant lease plan may also be required if you are extending the lease of your property, changing its boundaries, or putting your property on the market. If the boundaries of your property have altered, then this may be referred to as a Deed of Variation.
